Teri I love your idea for meal planning. It’s also nice because you don’t have to rewrite lists, both the planning one and the grocery list. I think I’m going to add directions as to about when it might help me to start making different parts of the meal too. I have a tendency to do the entry and the rest gets forgotten that I need to get the other parts started. I did it for a Holiday dinner before and it helped me in doing so many pieces, but I’ve never applied it to my regular meals. I forget that I need to get other things started partly because I haven’t thought about when in the process to do it and then I just grab something else instead of what I wanted.
I have something I want to crockpot tomorrow and haven’t done it other days this week because I’ve been off and not thought about it until there isn’t enough time to do it. So I’ve decided to write myself a message and set an alarm. I’m excited that I thought to do to help me remember for crockpot meals which are easy to make. I even learned that meat can go into it frozen (yahoo) and add time!
Marr, I think that would be a great idea to add directions to the cards! Another idea is to plan for a few days of meals using the cards, getting the ingredients bought and set up in the kitchen and then taking off from there.
Let me know how the crockpot meal works out for you. I’m always interested in new ideas. : )
